Training at LTS
If you are:
- thinking about training for pastoral or preaching ministry
- responsible for helping others train for pastoral or preaching ministry
- just interested in what LTS does
then I hope that you will find what you are looking for on this website - there is plenty of information here on the course, the syllabus, our facilities and accommodation, the lecturers, fees & bursaries, as well as some information about LTS generally – our aims, principles and emphases.
At LTS, we have one objective: to train men for pastoral and preaching ministry, a task which we believe to be of supreme importance for the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the building-up of his church.
The full course at LTS now lasts three years – the third year has just been introduced. We believe that, for a life-time of ministry, three years’ study is no more than is needed. It will still be possible to study the first two years of the course, which provide a self-contained foundation for gospel ministry.
Our course is:
- evangelical in its theology
- intellectually rigorous and challenging
- contemporary in outlook
- practically-orientated
- tailored specifically to the needs of those training for the pastorate.
If you want to take things further, or just find out more about us to help you come to a decision, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
I trust that you will know the Lord’s blessing and wisdom as you seek his guidance in considering pastoral training.
