Welcome

The John Owen Centre was set up as a further, but distinctive, extension of the London Theological Seminary training, to encourage evangelical thinking and inquiry so that churches are equipped for the great challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

If churches are to be spiritually strong they need theology that is biblically faithful, spiritually vital, intellectually robust and practically relevant.

The Centre seeks to promote evangelical scholarship of excellence for the good of the church and the advance of Christ's kingdom.

A Master of Theology degree, from Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, can be taken at the John Owen Centre.  The course is run as a series of six modules, plus the writing of a thesis, over a period of two years making it accessible to those already in full-time ministry.  The lectures can also be audited by those not taking the degree course.  Full details can be found under 'studies'.
