The John Owen Centre was set up as a further, but distinctive, extension of the London Theological Seminary training, to encourage evangelical
thinking and inquiry so that churches are equipped for the
great challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
If churches are to be spiritually strong they need theology
that is biblically faithful, spiritually vital, intellectually
robust and practically relevant.
The Centre seeks to promote evangelical scholarship of excellence
for the good of the church and the advance of Christ's kingdom.
